Portyl evolved from BenchBoss, a basketball statistics platform for schools and college teams, into a broader social platform connecting players, coaches, and recruiters. The application combines detailed stats tracking with communication and networking tools designed around the basketball community.
Logo Design
The Portyl brand was developed to reflect its evolution into a modern social platform for the basketball community. Early concepts explored a portal-inspired icon before shifting toward communication and connection. The final mark features one speech bubble within another, representing two-way communication between players, coaches, and recruiters.
UI/UX Design
The application interface was designed to bring stats, player profiles, team information, and communication tools together in one intuitive experience. The focus was on making information easy to navigate while creating a familiar social experience for players, coaches, and recruiters.
Social Media
A range of social media graphics and promotional materials were created to introduce Portyl, highlight platform features, and build awareness among players, teams, coaches, and recruiters.
